BACKGROUND

Cervical cancer is one of the most common cancers affecting women worldwide. In order to reduce the threat of cervical cancer, the Health Promotion Administration of Chinese Taipei, through health units and medical institutions, has provided Pap Smeared examinations for women over 30 years old since 1995, and provided Human Papillomavirus(HPV) vaccination for 13-year-old girls since 2008 according to WHO recommendations. So far, the incidence and mortality rate of cervical cancer have been reduced by about 70%, and the HPV vaccination rate has reached more than 90%.

Considering the good results achieved from the above policies, we propose to share ourresults with APEC members/economies in the 2025 conference. Through exchangingexperiences with other members, we could help them promote these policies and createa positive impact on women's health. This will enable them to work together towards the WHO's 90-70-90 goal.
